Hello everyone, having recently joined, thought it polite that I introduce myself.

As far as modeling interests are concerned, due to my age, BR Blue features heavily, mainly 4mm EM Western Region.

I suppose a sort of 'Western' theme runs through pretty much most of what I do, though I have to admit, (with some trepidation), there's more than one 'Western' that floats my boat, namely I'm also a fan of the GW's 2 main rivals ( LSW & LNW), plus a certain 'Western' Coy. set in the South West of Scotland. That said, my modelling interests are set firmly between '64 to '94.in the lost days of regions and latterly, sectors
The next thing I need to master is my way around the forum, and not being what you might call a techhie, It may be some time before I surface again ( of course that presumes I can actually manage to post this!
::))
Cheers

Welcome aboard Ken :wave:
Don't worry "Western" covers a lot... my main interest is more "Mid-West" really, and they still let me in...  ;D ;)
Just mention/post pics of Blue diesels occasionally and you'll be fine - try and make it British diesels so it's something they recognise.... ::) :))

Hi Ken,

don't worry about the region thing. Look at me, I'm a 'western' lad through and through  ;D Just make sure you stick the word 'north' before 'western'  :))

Hi Ken and welcome aboard.  :)

Your "New Quay" layout has always been a great inspiration to me, so much so, that if I can ever find some free time (and space!), I'd like to do something along the same lines (i.e. half a station), in Scale 7.  :thumbs:

I'm sure some pictures would be well received on here.  :)

Regards

Dan

Cheers for that, I always thought it would suit 7mm
It's 10 years since I bade farewell to New Quay, and meanwhile I've used the basic scheme for Llangerran, another Blue era West Wales area layout, though this time it's far from a minimum space scheme. However, I'd best keep that tale for the 'Layouts' thread.
