Last week I had a couple of nights in Hythe, a trip on the RH&DR and then Le Shuttle over to France for some shopping and a decent meal and stay at Wisques. Here's a few snaps of the RH&DR:

Fabulous Grahame - one day if I’m ever lucky enough to find enough money burning a hole in my pocket again, I’m going to treat myself to another RHDR Driver Experience day (very highly recommended) and ask if they can roster Dr Syn - last time I asked for the other Canadian Pacific and had an absolute ball driving Winston Churchill up and down between Hythe and Romney, sharing the driving with my son, who got quite good at blowing the wonderful Crosby chime whistle per the short clip of him driving below.

Syn’s longer chimney and blastpipe gives it a unique louder and (even) crisper bark when pulling hard and it has an equally glorious whistle.
