Cambrian Rlys loco kits n 4mm

As I'm gradually increasing the number of Cambrian wagons and coaches I have in my 4mm range my thoughts have turned to what can I pull them with. Does anyone know of any Cambrian loco kit in 4mm that could be built in P4?

Camkits is the range I'm aware of, but beyond a few results on RMWeb, current information is tricky to come by - Taff Vale Models seem to have handled sales of some of these, and there’s hints on their Facebook pages, but no details in their online store. Perhaps the Welsh Railways Research Circle are probably the people to ask?

Are you still interested in purchasing a Cambrian loco kit and if so I can put you in touch with Camkits. These kits can be built to P4 standards.

Other possibilities are the RT Models Manning Wardle "Old Class I" and Class K 0-6-0STs and the K's Millstone kit for the ex Metropolitan 4-4-0T (et bonne chance - or perhaps pob lwc since we're talking Cambrian!).

Edited to get Marc's name right.

Also the Mainly Trains chassis for the Tanat Valley 2-4-0t is still available (Wizard Models) but the GEM body kit seems to have evaporated.....ars there any drawings put there?

Cheers,

Hi Marc,
Sparkshot Custom Creations do a couple of tender locos (and maybe other stuff) that are suitable for the Cam Rys.
The ones I'm thinking of are 2-4-0 and 4-4-0 tender locos that were also used by the Furness Railway.
HTH,
Mark
Hi Marc I would suggest you take a look at some of the Sparkshot locos on the website. Most of the images are 3D digital renders and give a false impression on what the actual surface finish is like compared to the images of the actual 3D printed locos.

Marc,
A freebie for you to play with.
A Furness Railway K2 4-4-0 which is as near as makes no odds the same as Aston's Cambrian version.

FR K2

And one I printed (a lot ) earlier to S Scale

The current SSMRS Parts Oficer has, as part of his personal project to model the early Brecon and Merthyr, produced etches and .stl's for the Albion 2-4-0 and Volunteer 0-4-2 and 4 wheel tenders - in S of course.
Go on. You know it makes SenSe.

Im committed to building two layouts before I can succumb. One will be finished by November, Llareggub Wharf, and Menyon (pronounced minions in English) for 2026. After that who knows.
