Very nice indeed I know how fiddly the motion is in 7mm, I cant imagine what it is like in 4mm :shock:

Thanks for the comment. I hope to post some more in the next few days once i have resprayed the chassis again . All the waggly bits go round OK the only issue i had was with the valve rod spindle blocks as i didn't like the ones on the etch so i made some out of silver steel rod and machined it to 1mm square and drilled the appropriate holes (still waiting for the men in the white coats).

Thanks for the comments guys.I will be posting more of the 2251 chassis soon (see if you can see the oil corks on the eccentric straps and the big ends).
Also if you are interested a side shot of the 63xx. As for all the kits Dan I have now another one coming of the dark side variety (a Finney Bullied).

An update on the 2251 chassis. After stripping the paint off the chassis I have chemically blacked the parts and now ready for painting again and reassembly. Just a photo of the progress. The only part not in the photo are the pick ups,these will be fitted to the spring units on reassembly.The box I used as a block behind the chassis parts is my long awaited box from Mr Finney containing a 4500 tender that arrived today (I haven't even looked inside it yet as the dark side might consume me). I will spend a quiet evening today with pimms in hand and peruse the contents of the box

The 2251 is a favourite of mine, you really do need the motion as the boiler is so high.
I would love to see some pics of the Bulleid tender

Not a problem 28ten. If its ok with you I will continue it on this thread for now . I will take some photos tomorrow of the etches and castings (I am looking at them as I type ). Once I start building it I will start a thread in area 51.

Finney kits are like that arent they?! the Pacific is on my wants list, I have a Duke kit but I think I will sell it on to put some funds towards something Southern or a 45xx :scratch:

I got the bug after driving and firing 3 of these amazing machines (I was a fireman on the SVR for 14 years) their steaming, power and acceleration is unbelievable.

Here are the photos of the 4500 bullied tender its so big . The etches, castings and instructions are superb.I will have to see if the wife will let me have the loco as an early birthday present . I hope the photos give you a taster of the kit (I will have to improve my photography).

once you start in 7mm there is no going back :scratch: I had the chance to build a Slaters wagon in 1/32 but I turned it down because I knew what the result would be

I must admit its tempting but I have plans for my P4 layout. Thats not to say I would not build another scale seven model (I am very tempted by JLTRT warship when it is released :scratch: ) but as Dan said I have quite a few kits to build. :shock:

Respect Whilst struggling with 7mm at the moment, I have no idea how you guys manage this sort of thing in the smaller scale..... :shock:
