A JLTRT Western that can swap between 31.5mm and 33mm?

... one problem I see is the axle with drive gears on it. Not having seen the model in question how are the gearsets mounted on the axle?

The JLTRT resin bogie frames are to be fitted with ABC Diesel motor gearboxes, details and drawing on ABC web pages. The gearbox is offset on the axle to accomodate a Delrin sprocket to carry the drive from inner bogie axle to outer bogie axle.

Does anyone know how many washers you get in the Slaters Extension washer pack. I am re-wheeling a class 31 and want to know if it is cheaper to buy 6 scale seven axles or just pack them out with these washers.
