Is it me or does the area just below the doors on the GUV look a little..er..flat? Apart from that they look rather nice.

I haven't done much with them yet apart from name them all - looking a bit dusty!

I want to repaint and detail the cab interiors, paint the wheels and change the buffer hoses, couplings etc.

Then a suitable amount of weathering.

The Bedford Vans are Oxford Diecasts. They do a few vehicles in BR colours.

I know what you mean Jon and the solebar is definitely less recessed than on a CCT, but I think that's how they are on the prototype, from looking at photos.

I think the effect is a trick of the light.

They don't look far off to me

The footsteps are a bit small though.

A bit of weathering/darkening/shadowing along the solebar would probably do the trick.

I will look forward to seeing the weathering on these beasts. Are you doing the vents in the roof lip/overhang on Crusader ?.

The CCT is in paint now and will be W94559

The SPV will be E87029, now that I understand the diffeence between LNER and BR Brake Rigging on them!

I will look forward to seeing how you do those grills. I intend to do Huntsman at some point. However one of my next ones will be King with the small rectangular grill on the front.

Two very interesting choices Rob.

Huntsman has to be the most camera shy Western of them all and she was a Bath Road Loco for nearly 5 years in the mid-late 1960s.

King (and Sovereign) entered service in the very day that I was born!

That was one of the reasons that I chose Sovereign for my roster.

I think it will be quite simple to do the grills on Crusader, with some small pieces of very fine mesh. They were hardly visible on the real beast!

Especially in the generally appalling external condition that Laira kept the fleet!
