I haven't been able to find the build.
I would like to build one of these locos later this year and would be interested in a sneaky preview if poss!

I think when there is no topfeed there is also no whistle shroud

In spite of my earlier post, in GWR days, most 48xxs did not have topfeed. Even then, some locos without topfeed DID have whistle shrouds. For example:

4870 at Totnes 30th Aug 1945.

Aren't MOK kits exquisite! This is one of the 'prettiest ' locos I have seen and this kit really does it justice

They are amazing loco's it's a shame people shun them due to cost... They are worth every penny unlike many other kits. Buy one you won't regret it...

I just emailed Dave yesterday about the 9f's he's in the process of writing the instructions so it shouldn't be much longer now...

Have you seen how comprehensive his instructions are?

Yes I have I have already built several of his kits before the only one lacking instructions is the 8f the others are all superb. I also think they are the best kits for beginners due to the depth the instructions go to even if they are very complex.
